Calendar reads Day 70 of 2026.

It’s the 70th day of USF’s 70th year!

The odds are high that everyone knows at least one colleague dedicated to building their USF collection. For some, they have 70 pens on display. For others, it’s a photo from the day _____ opened. Below, Christopher Akin displays his definitive collection of USF tags, spanning more than 30 years. Help us discover more office finds. Send pictures and mention "Inside USF."

Courtney Whitt

Courtney Whitt knows that a community is only as healthy as the people who care for it. As a licensed psychologist and the first executive director of the Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce (established by the Florida Legislature in 2024), she’s designing system-level solutions.

Driven by a desire to bridge the gap between community needs and the available workforce, Whitt leads a team at USF focused on growing and innovating Florida’s behavioral health sector. Under her leadership, the center recently launched the state’s first interactive dashboard to project workforce supply and demand through 2035, providing a vital tool for researchers, community organizations and policymakers alike.

The center’s impact is felt through several key initiatives, including grant funding, a mentoring program, a financial hardship fund for students and much more. Learn more on the center's website.

“We want to engage others and let that inform our recommendations,” she said. For their dedication to building a healthier Florida through data, collaboration and empathy, Courtney Whitt and her team are true Bold Bulls.

Technology tip: Protect yourself from malware

Please be cautious when downloading software to your personal and USF-owned devices. Malicious software programs (malware) often pose as helpful tools like “PDF Editor” or “All Manuals Reader” but can secretly steal personal data or lock your files after installation.

To protect yourself, install software only from trusted sources and keep your antivirus software up to date. For safe, university-approved options, visit USF’s official Software Catalog. Visit the Information Technology Hub to learn more.
