Counting down to the launch of Oracle HR in January 2025! Get ready for big changes and a more efficient system.
We are counting down to the launch of Oracle HR in January 2025! This implementation effort, called Project Drive, has your needs in mind. Oracle HR is an employee-focused system that will save you time on paperwork and processes so you can focus on what matters most in your career. This is the first edition of ACCELERATE, a series of project updates that will prepare you for the launch. Additional details and resources are available on the Project Drive website.
Big Changes
Say goodbye to GEMS and hello to a new interface optimized for desktops, tablets and mobile phones.
Turn off the printer and fill out timesheets digitally. From start to finish, timesheet processes will be completely paperless.
LinkedIn Learning courses will be accessible inside Oracle HR, helping you hone your skills.
Universal search allows you to find the processes and information most pertinent to you quickly and easily.
"The ability to record work hours and have a seamless workflow from employee to supervisor to Payroll Services will eliminate processing lag and data entry errors."
-Quentin Miller on his end-to-end testing experience
Change Ambassadors
The Project Drive team includes USF employees from across the university who serve as Change Ambassadors. They are the primary contact points for questions, concerns and feedback in their respective areas during the transformation. Contact your Change Ambassador to learn more about the benefits of Oracle HR, what to expect during the transition, training opportunities and timeline updates.
This month, we are finishing end-to-end testing, which is when users help test the system so developers can enhance functionality so everything is ready for launch. This fall, we will schedule discovery sessions to show you how the system works. Several training workshops will also be offered to help you learn how to use the new system. The launch will consist of three waves lasting about one month each. See the list below to see the features and services launching with each wave.
We continue adding to this page as we are contacted. It’s likely someone else has asked your question before. Check out this page and if you can’t find the answer, contact us!
